𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞
We are looking for a Sr. Backend Engineer to lead the architecture and hands-on engineering of our production-grade SaaS platform.
This is not a whiteboard-only role. You will design systems, make architectural decisions, write and review production code, and help the engineering team ship scalable and reliable software. The ideal candidate has experience taking SaaS products from architecture to deployment and understands the challenges of operating systems at scale.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬
▸ Platform Architecture & Engineering
– Own system architecture, APIs, service boundaries, and integration patterns
– Write production-quality backend code and contribute across the development lifecycle
– Define architecture standards, scalability patterns, and engineering best practices

▸ Technical Leadership
– Conduct PR reviews focused on quality, scalability, and maintainability
– Guide developers with implementation planning and technical problem-solving
– Identify blockers early and help teams move efficiently

▸ SaaS Platform Ownership
– Design scalable multi-tenant systems with strong isolation and security
– Drive decisions around authentication, authorization, billing, usage metering, and platform reliability
– Collaborate with DevOps on infrastructure, CI/CD, deployments, and observability

𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬
– Node.js (TypeScript) and/or Python
– REST & GraphQL APIs
– Microservices & event-driven architecture
– PostgreSQL & Redis
– AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
– Terraform/CDK & CI/CD pipelines
– OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, RBAC/ABAC
– Production monitoring, logging, tracing, and resilience patterns

𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
– Minimum 7 years of professional backend software engineering experience, with a proven track record of architecting, building, and operating production-grade SaaS products end-to-end.
– Experience with AI/LLM integrations (RAG, AI workflows, agentic systems)
– Rust experience for backend or performance-critical services
– PLG SaaS, usage-based billing, or self-serve onboarding experience
– Startup or high-growth environment experience
